Jefferson Park is located on the Northwest side of Chicago and has long been known as "the Gateway to Chicago,' for many reasons: the public transportation hub/Jefferson Park Transit Center - which houses a blue line stop, a Metra UP Northwest stop, several bus lines that stretch all throughout the city, and since it is very near both the Kennedy Expressway (I-90), and the Edens Expressway (I-94).  

Located within 5 miles of O'Hare aiport, and just over 11 miles to downtown Chicago, all of these reasons make this neighborhood very desirable as a place to call home, and a quicker commute to work or play, than some other Chicago neighborhoods.
